Sources of funding for starting a business:
One-time funds for starting a business for those registered with the PUP
This is one of the labor market instruments designed to support unemployed persons intending to start their own business. One-time funds for starting economic activity can be received by: A person who is registered in the District Labor Office as an unemployed person, a Graduate of the Social Integration Center or a Graduate of the Social Integration Club. Obtaining a grant depends on meeting the conditions specified in the legislation.

Refund of costs of equipping or retrofitting a workplace
Refund of the costs of equipping or retrofitting a job position is financial assistance provided by the district labor office in connection with equipping or retrofitting a job position and employing in that position a referred unemployed person or a referred unemployed person who is not employed or does not perform other gainful work as a caretaker of a disabled person for a period of 24 months.

Loan for starting a business
The “First Business – Support to Start Up” program is aimed at school and university graduates and final year students who are looking for work, registered unemployed people, and caregivers of disabled people looking for work. Entrepreneurs, non-public kindergartens and schools, and agricultural producers can also benefit from the support. Nurseries, children’s clubs and providers of rehabilitation services can apply for financial support for the creation of a new job related to the care of children with disabilities or the rehabilitation of children with disabilities.

LAG grants
Both unemployed and working people can apply for grants from Local Action Groups, but under certain conditions: you are an inhabitant of a municipality included in the LAG’s area of activity, villages and towns up to 20,000 inhabitants, the planned investment will take place in this area, you will have to create a workplace, you cannot be insured in the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund. The applicant may obtain support in the amount of 100% of the eligible costs of the operation.

Startup platforms for new ideas
Most opportunities in this area are offered by the Eastern Poland Program. You will get help in selected centers from Eastern Poland, implementing a special project “Startup platforms for new ideas.” You will be able to take advantage of their offer if you have an innovative business idea and want to open a company in eastern Poland (in the Lubelskie, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie, Świętokrzyskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeships).
